Activists to protest felling of trees for kormangala flyover.

- Activists and Ngos will hold a protest on Saturday September 4th against the proposal to felling trees for the kormangala flyover.

The BBMP's forest wing has sanctioned the clearing of 84 trees, 64 of which will be felled,for the ejipura kendra sadan flyoverbwith two ramps. BBMP quietly doubles the number of trees to be felled for kormangala flyover. Ngos, residents welfare associations and citizen activists are planning to gather before the kormangala BDA complex at 8 a.m for the protest titled- SAVE TREES,SAVE KORMANGALA !

Avanthi rao, a local resident said although a notification uploaded on the BBMP website stating that 67 trees will be cut, they are not sure about which the trees that will be axed other than earlier noted 38 trees.

Activist Vijay nishanth said in a message the we invite all the tree warriors to join us to protect our trees and green cover, to show your support, share a picture of you and your closed one's hugging a tree in your locality and post it on your social media platforms and tag us.
